Served as trial counsel in a jury trial in federal court in Detroit. The case was brought by a multi-national chemical manufacturer and involved more than $90 million in alleged damages. The case was favorably resolved for my client before verdict. Aetna Cas. & Sur. Co. v. Dow Chem. Co., 44 F. Supp. 2d 870 (E.D. Mich. 1999).

Represented an insurance company in a coverage dispute with an Illinois public utility company with respect to mercury spills in residences when the company’s electrical meters were replaced.
Represented an insurance company in a coverage dispute in Illinois circuit court with an electrical equipment manufacturer with respect to hundreds of asbestos-related bodily injury claims.
Represented an insurance company in a coverage dispute with a public electrical utility company that sought insurance coverage for its costs in investigating and remediating environmental contamination at the gas company’s manufactured gas plant sites located in Illinois. Represented an insurance company in a coverage dispute in Iowa with a large manufacturer of premium windows with respect to a nationwide class action lawsuit arising from water infiltration claims.
Served as coverage counsel for an insurer of a developer accused of faulty construction of affordable housing units.
Served as coverage counsel for an insurer of a general contractor alleged of committing serious defects in the design and construction of a student apartment complex causing millions of dollars in repairs and lost rent.
